Obama doesn’t have to DO anything to stay awesome
Gotta love that president we have. He’s got an awesome talent to get grades, degrees, book deals, law review editorships, presidencies, and now Nobel Prizes based on doing nothing.
Mainstream media sources didn’t quite understand why the award was made to the big O, and even Obama himself was like “wtf. lol. seriously?”
Former Republican presidential candidate and Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee says it’s not a good idea for his fellow conservatives to criticize this, but the Democratic National Committee went a step or two thirteen further and said that Republicans are siding with terrorists for criticizing the Nobel prize.
People outside the White House and in President Barack Obama’s hometown of Chicago say the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Obama may have come too soon. They are waiting for more concrete results.

Non-Chicago Olympics & the end of the World
Obama dealt with the fact that Chicago is a crime ridden ghetto shithole with a deft and brilliant strategy: Shhhhhhhhhh.
Back in Obama’s adopted hometown of Chicago, Illinois, some members of the black community are incensed at the president for not personally speaking out about the murder of Derrion Albert, a 16-year-old boy who was beaten to death last week in a predominantly African-American neighborhood.
What really set them off was that Obama, in an awkward case of bad timing, instead flew to Copenhagen to pitch Chicago to the International Olympics Committee as the ideal city to host the games in 2016. And as it turned out, it didn’t put Chicago over the top. The city didn’t even make it to the final round in Friday’s voting.
Chicago did not deserve the Olympics. Really, no other city in America deserved it either, but Chicago super-double didn’t deserve it.
What exactly made anyone think that our nations top 3 competitor for “most violent and crime ridden city” would be an awesome choice worthy of hosting the Olympics? Of course, Rio has a huge drug and crime problem, but that’s on the Olympic committee. I’m pointing my “wtf, really?” finger back at America and American’s who thought a non-Chicago Olympics was a bad thing.
Judging from what’s being said on talk radio, Web sites and blogs frequented by residents of Chicago, the fact that Obama put the Olympics ahead of responding to the breakdown of the social order in Chi-Town is a slap in the face.
Just yesterday, a self-identified African-American called into “The Rush Limbaugh Show” and complained about how Obama flew off to “a foreign country” while black kids in Chicago are being consumed by violence. The caller wondered when other African-Americans were going to realize that Obama wasn’t like them, because he’s an elitist living an extraordinary life and breathing rarified air.
That sentiment was all over black-oriented blogs. One blogger wrote: “More children died violent deaths in Chicago this year than in any other city in America. But all Obama cares about is bringing the Olympics to a city where basic services like water, sanitation and power often don’t work. … If Chicago does win the bid there will be plenty of police and National Guard on hand to protect the international visitors. That’s more than they are willing to do for their own residents.”
Despite Michelle Obama’s assurance that the violent crime in Chicago ain’t no biggie… erm, it’s kindov a biggie.
And then there’s the question of whether 2012 deserves your movie-going patronage or not. Some critics, basing only on the trailer, saying not:
It looked, however, as if the CGI experts have been given a completely free hand designing this apocalypse – with the net result that the trailer bordered on laughable.
Then the second trailer hit, which starts with a peaceful domestic scene between Cusack and Peet and ends up showing us more of that dramatic plane ride through a city which plunges into the depths of Hell as they fly by
Critics in the U.S. are already beginning to describe the movie as a disaster in itself.
The OTT effects and over-dramatic story has come in for some criticism even before the film hits the big screen.
If the trailer is anything to go by, we’re likely to see every kind of disaster imaginable, all crammed into one big turkey of a film created by a director reknowned for his overboard use of effects.
One critic says of the trailer: ‘The 2012 The Worst is Over Movie Clip that recently found its way online is full of the absurd action and grand special effects audiences have come to expect from a Roland Emmerich film.
”At the beginning of the clip we are given a glimpse of the Curtis’ family dynamic present in 2012. As the clip continues, the delivered action is so over-the-top it almost looks like an cartoon.’
SNL on Obama’s Accomplishments
Dude, whats with people lately? It’s like, they’re all actin like my boy Obama is doing something wrong by not accomplishing anything in his first 10 months as President. Whats with that? Leave Barack alone!
More importantly though is the question of why is the actor in this skit not even attempting to mimic his target? Would that be racist? It’s one thing to do it badly, but the dude isn’t even trying to sound like Obama. whats the deal with that?
Is the honeymoon really over? Pssh. I’d say “nigga pleez” but that’d be funny racist. So how dare you.
Chicago doesn’t get to lose millions hosting Olympics (aww)
I hate to lol at peoples failures, but… LOL… The president, the first lady and even Oprah showed up to make the pitch for Chicago to be selected as host for the Olympics; it was whispered that Obama knew he had it in the bag and that was the reason he made the special trip to advocate for his home city; the much needed victory was on its way to be delivered to the administration; Chicago was to get some pay-back for giving the world the YesWeCan president… and it ended up being the very first city eliminated.
Clearly this means that the Olympics are total raaaacists, right?
Further Schadenfreude:
Obama goes on every Sunday show…except Fox’s
Barack Obama pushed his healthcare bill on 5 sunday talk shows yesterday.. Five. That’s every single one, right?
1. CBS
2. NBC
3. ABC
4. CNN
5… Gotta be FOX, right?… wrong.. #5 was Univision. wtf?
ABC News asked White House spokesman Josh Earnest about this and he answered “We figured Fox would rather show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ than broadcast an honest discussion about health insurance reform.” In other words: Revenge.
That’s a reference to the program the Fox network aired at 8 p.m. on Sept. 9, when other major broadcast networks were airing the president’s speech to the joint session of Congress.
MSNBC’s Morning Joe panel asked wtf was with this “only avoid the highest rated channel” strategy…

Kanye West interrupts Obama
This appeared within 2 hours of Kanye West being an asshole at the MTV Video Music Awards me making this exact gag on RichWatch. Clearly I’m the only person who is smart and politically astute enough to make the connection, so my idea was perjured, but I don’t mind since it was done so quickly and in a quality fashion…
Obama makes speech on healthcare. Democrats focus full attention on heckler
A congressman says “you lie!” to Obama during a speech and becomes a bigger story than the speech he was interrupting. Yup, thats American politics for ya.
President Obama made an address to Congress last night to try and and squeeze an approval rating bump out that he could ride into passing his Government run healthcare bill plan thingy (Sarah Palin calls it the Bureaucratization of Health Care”). I played the Obama drinking game while watching it: you take a sip every time a black guy says something. – so I had to go to bed early. I do remember though that some guy I assumed was from the Republican side yelled something at some point. Turns out it was Republican congressman Joe Wilson from SC and he yelled “You lie!” at point when Obama claimed that his legislation would not offer benefits to illegal aliens.
Barack reacting to the congressman’s outburst…
John McCain denounced him, his daughter Meghan McCain called him a child, blah blah blah.
He deserves the scolding, but it’s pretty vomit-worthy to watch the hippies freak the hell out over this disrespect toward the Obammessiah. The guy running against Wilson in the next election is getting donations streamed in even though it seems a bit of a waste (his district has voted Republican for the last 44 years), Wilson is bucking back, and its open season for smear-timez as some wonder if he’s a drug addict.
Listening to Democratic histrionics about civility in response to this, you’d almost think they hadn’t booed and yelled “no” at President Bush during his 2005 State of the Union. Or…wait a tic…
Okay, but was Wilsons rude comment at least right? Did Obama lie? Well… The bill available online in PDF form expressly says: “HR 3200 SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS: Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.” Which would sorta kinda suggest – ehno, he didn’t.
But there was a loophole that apparently is being fixed now due to Wilsons outburst (great. just what we need: public admittance that uncivil yelling will get you what you want):
Indeed, the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service study found that the House health care bill does not restrict illegal immigrants from receiving health care coverage.
House Republican Minority Leader John Boehner amplified the complaint that without proof of citizenship, illegal immigrants could be insured.
“There were two opportunities for House Democrats to make clear that illegal immigrants wouldn’t be covered by putting in requirements to show citizenships,” he said. “Both of those amendments were, in fact, rejected.”
In the Senate, Democrats in the so called “Gang of Six,” a group of bipartisan senators on the Senate Finance Committee which is the last panel yet to release its bill, began moving quickly to close the loophole that Wilson helped bring greater attention to.
“We absolutely assure that those who are here illegally would not get the benefit of any of these initiatives,” Sen. Kent Conrad said.
Congressional Research Service: H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on non-citzens participating in the Exchange–whether the non-citizens are legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently. Nonetheless, only aliens who could be classified as resident aliens would be required under the bill to have health insurance.
Obama talks to America’s chillens
President Obama made a speech in front of a class that was encouraged for teachers to show their own classes.
The White House turned a Northwest Washington junior high classroom into a television studio and its students into props.
…
The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students.
The Washington Post wrote the first half and the Democrat, House Majority Leader said the second part after the dashes… in 1991. responding to President Bush giving a speech aimed at students. right before they had a hearing to investigate the matter.
Bush’s speech contained such controversial material as talking about importance of studying math and science and answered other questions, ranging from “How difficult is it to be our president?” to whether he would like his dog – Millie – to be the first dog in space.
As for Obama’s speech: Like Bush’s in 91, it had some nice common sense stuff in it that kids should hear. unlike Bush’s, it contained needlessly controversial self praising stuff about how hard OBAMA, not the country or bipartisan government, is working to save the world.
But wait… Obama actually did exactly what the Dems groundlessly freaked out over Bush doing? but that.. would make them… hypocrite political hacks….
While its true that liberal doctrine claims that persons A accomplishments must come at person B’s expense, I’ve always known that was bullshit bumper sticker pandering pap, so its not that that’s the cause for a “wtf man”. The reason praising yourself to young students is “needlessly controversial” as i stated, is not because it negates someone elses work as liberal theory would assume, but rather its just 1) bad taste and 2) bad politics.
Obama changed his speech from being the political commercial that republicans flipped their toupee’s over at first (The original Department of Education directive asked children to write letters with promises on “how they could help President Obama.” and changed it to how kids “could achieve their long-term and short-term goals”) yet still left in the self stroking stuff about how “he” alone is working for them. why hand your opposition a victory like that when the rest of your 2nd draft speech is so praise-worthy by honest members of said opposition? 10% of school funding comes from “Obama”. why not show some love to the mayors, governors and state politicians? when the guy who does 10% of the work takes all the credit, he’s usually called an a-hole. unless he’s the Obammessiah.
Obama website to display transparency contains entire pages blacked out
Irony: The $18 million contract to build a website to make federal stimulus spending transparent was released – with entire pages blacked out.
So much for change we can believe in:
Back in July, a software company named Smartronix landed an $18 million contract to build a Web site where taxpayers could easily track billions in federal stimulus money. It was just another part of the Obama administration’s ongoing effort to bring transparency to stimulus spending, we were told.
But it seems the drive for transparency doesn’t cover the contract itself.
After weeks of prodding by ProPublica and other organizations, the General Services Administration released copies of the contract and related documents that are so heavily blacked out they are virtually worthless.
Don’t believe us? Take a look.
ProPublica sought the contract under the Freedom of Information Act to find out what kind of site Smartronix planned to build and to assess whether it justified the cost, which Republican critics of the stimulus plan called “unreal.”
Ed Pound, the director of communications for the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, defended the redactions as “legitimate.” The Web site Smartronix is to build will replace Recovery.gov, the existing stimulus Web portal run by the transparency board.
“I’m not concerned about whether journalists are concerned about this,” Pound said. “We have been very transparent.”
The GSA declined to comment, but said in its response to ProPublica’s FOIA request that such redactions were allowed if material “involves substantial risk of competitive injury” to a contractor.
Some sections of the contract were redacted in their entirety. They include:
- the project’s management structure;
- something called the “Strategic Advisory Council”;
- quality assurance procedures;
- five pages on user experience;
- site navigation;
- four unidentified pages on which everything, even section headings, have been redacted;
- every single piece of information in the document’s pricing table, including function, vendor, model, part ID, detail and quantity;
- the contract’s warranty agreement.
In all, 25 pages of a 59-page technical proposal — the main document in the package — were redacted completely. Of the remaining pages, 14 had half or more of their content blacked out.
