Forty beagles that were being used for lab testing in Spain found out what grass and outdoors were like for the first time.
All the male beagles, which are between 4 and 7 years old, have lived in cages their entire lives, according to Gary Smith of the Beagle Freedom Project.

Beagles are often used in lab testing of products, including cosmetics, because of their ‘docile and trusting’ personalities.
Mr Smith added: ‘Beagles are incredibly sweet, docile, companion animals.

My dad worked for TWA, an airline that went bankrupt and got bought by American Airlines and now, several months after he retired, American has filed for bankruptcy. Why? Is it because someone died after eating one of their in flight meals? Nah. They just weren’t making money. They’re the 189th U.S. airline to go broke since the government deregulated the industry in 1978.
The AP chats about why it’s so hard to make money in this industry, but I got sidetracked by this ad so now that’s all I can think about:

I’ve always wondered about Venice, ever since I called the small town across the canal from mine on Long Island on the water “Venezuela” because I thought thats what Venus was and the flooding from really high tides would stay in the streets for a few days on that side of the bridge.
